The book is a collection of poems. Poetry is one of the main modes of cultural expression within Somalis. In this collection of poems, there are 28 poets who, with their poems, discuss whether the invisible spirits of the ancestors can influence the living. Some of the poets criticize, comment and even mock the old tradition and the belief in the invisible powers of the ancestors. But some other poets defend and explain that there are certainly saints with unnatural powers. both groups rely on their interpretation of religion.
